There's a long way to go. I have to find funding, I have to find a camera, I have more research to do than probably is humanly possible to do solely and more than that, I'm not even sure what form the film will take yet, or where the story will lead us.
With that in mind, and a whole amount of stress enough to pull me into the stratosphere of panic-ridden newbies to the industry, I've decided to treat this as - just another adventure.
With uni courses and festival jobs (hopefully) in the next 6months I hope to explore every aspect of the genre; historical, human interest, observational, narrative and hybrid docs - and a watchlist exceeding the running time of my entire time on Earth. I hope to meet people who will share their knowledge, advise me on which paths to avoid and ultimately discover the future of a story that has never before escaped the confines of our past.
There is no deadline, there is no pressure, just a story of an ordinary woman, who turned out to be quite extraordinary. And boy is it a story worth telling!
